Our practice welcomes people of all ages. Dr Stone sees patients from birth until about 18 years. Dr Abdo and Dr Mazoor see patients from 16 years. Thus, young patients with diabetes or endocrine disorders transitioning from paediatric to adult care can be seen at the same practice.
You are welcome to bring a family member or friend with you to the appointment, however the doctor may also want to see you alone for part of the consultation. What you talk to the doctor about remains confidential, unless you agree that it be discussed with others. However we do share some medical information with other health care providers involved in your care. Make sure you let the doctor know if there is anything you do not want shared. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. The appointment is about you and your health. You will need to bring your referral and a medicare card with you.
