Dr Monique Stone is a paediatrician and paediatric endocrinologist. She works part time in private practice, and in a senior medical role at the Therapeutic Goods Administration. She has also been involved in various teaching, research and advocacy roles.
Monique grew up in Newcastle. She moved to Sydney to study medicine at The University of Sydney where she graduated with honors. After completing her training in general paediatrics, she pursued further training in paediatric endocrinology at the Sydney Children’s Hospital. Special interests include adolescents, obesity, and public health. She has enjoys working with children
and their families in to enable all to lead a fulfilling life despite health concerns.
Monique accepts referrals for children and adolescents with diabetes, metabolic, growth, thyroid, puberty, adrenal or pituitary problems. She will also accept referrals for some general paediatric problems. It is preferred that the referral is received before appointments so there is time to arrange any investigations or collect further information prior to the appointment.
Monique would be happy to speak with GPs or referring doctors for advice. She is keen to work with other allied health professionals to optimise patient care, and is happy to share care with GPs or other specialists.
